Ardem Survival: How to Use the Map & GPS to Navigate the World
To navigate the open world of Ardem, the first thing you should find is a map. These are usually located in houses, often on cabinets, shelves, or tables.
Here’s what the map looks like in-game:
Once you have the map in your inventory, press "M" to open it and view the world of Ardem.
📡 Showing Your Location on the Map
To see your own location on the map, you’ll need:
A GPS device
A 9V battery
Once you have both items, click the “+” next to the GPS device in your inventory and drag & drop the 9V battery into the battery slot.
Your GPS is now powered on:
🧰 Activating the GPS
Put the GPS device in your hotbar or equip it in your hands.
You must hold it in your hands to turn it on. Then press “F” to power it up:
Now press “M” again, and you’ll see your position marked on the map:
🔺 Note: In the current playtest version, the red location arrow moves with you, but does not point in your viewing direction. It’s currently fixed to face north.
